The Mercer family welcomes you aboard for a memorable day of fishing the waters of the Gulf of Alaska and the Kenai Fjords Wilderness. Our goal is to provide the highest quality fishing experience possible for small groups. Our rods and tackle tend toward the lighter side to allow you to fully experience catching your fish and you will not be rushed into landing your fish as soon as possible.

Our boats have heated, comfortable cabins and ample fishing deck space. Our captains are friendly, helpful and highly experienced at fishing. We offer fishing for salmon, halibut, rockfish, and trophy ling cod.

Scheduling Tips

Fishing for halibut is good throughout the summer months, salmon are best from about mid-July through August. Ling cod may be taken after July 1st. Sea run silver and king salmon offer some of the best sport and quality and are available throughout the summer.

Extended Charters

We also offer overnight charters on our 42' yacht. The yacht sleeps up to six passengers, but two to four people is most comfortable.

The focus of the overnight trips is to give you and your party many different activities to engage in, such as:

  • hiking
  • beachcombing
  • sightseeing
  • and much more!

Overnight trips range in length from 3-7 days, with price based on trip length and the number of passengers. For a family getaway, these extended charters are hard to beat. There are no hectic hotel, car, or restaurant reservation to make and no need to plan numerous activities to occupy your day. Everything is taken care of on the boat.
