Bus & Motorcoach -- Fairbanks

Near the confluence of the Tanana and Chena Rivers, Fairbanks has been home to Athabascan Indians for centuries.  The population in the area boomed in the early 1900ís with the discovery of gold. A second population boom occurred in the 1970ís with the construction of the Alaska Pipeline.

New in Fairbanks is the Morris Thompson Cultural and Visotirs Center.  Come see life-sized dioramas depicting activities of the seasons. See Native artists working with materials from the area, or ask a local about the fantastic places to visit while in the Interior of Alaska.

Alaskaís second largest city can experience temperature swings of well over 120 degrees between summer and winter.  With its rich history, beautiful views of Mt. McKinley and the northern lights in the winter, Fairbanks is well worth a visit on your Alaskan adventure.
